Prof. Dr. Saima Dawood 

Prof Dr Saima Dawood is presently working as Director at Centre for Clinical Psychology, University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. After Master’s in Applied Psychology, she has completed a 15 months certification course in Clinical Psychology (required qualification in Pakistan to practice as a Clinical Psychologist). She obtained her Ph.D in Clinical Psychology from University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. Later, she worked as a Visiting Research Fellow (2019-2021) at Institute of Health Sciences, Leeds University, Leeds, UK. She is having more than 23 years teaching experience at Post Master’s level and has more than 40 Research publications including 27 in National Peer Reviewed and 13 publications in Impact Factor Journals. She supervised clinical work of trainee clinical psychologists and 3 PhD students completed and 3 PhD scholars are near to completion.

She has presented her research papers in national, international as well as presented at international conferences outside Pakistan. She has worked in 7 National Research Projects as Principal Investigator and has worked in different capacities in 5 International Research Projects. As a visiting Research Fellow in LEEDS University, UK, she has worked on Randomized control trial of a culturally adapted Behavioral Activation Therapy for Muslim Patients with Depression in Pakistan.
